I just think it’s so stupid. Today my ex-bf (now) told me that he was breaking up with me because his parents didn’t approve of him dating. Well I know because of his friends that he is going out with someone else that he has liked for a long time. Which fine whatever but lie about it when eventually the truth is going to come out?

Because we do not want to her their feelings with the truth like maybe he doesn’t like you anymore or something. It’s too direct so he makes up an excuse
I agree it’s dumb. But sometimes breaking up is stressful and they can’t take the blame or they don’t want to hurt you.
Sometimes guys and girls lie because they think that its “Letting the other person down nicely.” They think that by telling you a lie they are not hurting you as much. Obviously they are not thinking that you will eventually find out the truth.
Yea, that pisses me off too. Another thing that pisses me off when someone plans to break up with you. WTH? plan it for a week? My girlfreind did that to me, we went to a concert a week before that and I know she planned it. I bought her a dam t-shirt on top of the price of the ticket.
I really liked this post. It makes me wish the blog had a ‘like’ button like on Facebook.
Because lies are easier to be accepted than the truth, or real words.
What I don’t understand is that, why not just let him/her, if him/her do not love you any more? Ok, lies sometimes make it smooth when you are getting apart from each other.
