She got a weird cartilidge piercing right in the middle of her ear. It’s been like a year, and she consistently has had large bumps portruding at the piercing site. However, those bumps will go away when eucalyptis oil is applied regularly.

But here’s the real problem: She has pain in the back of her jaw and her neck, right below the ear.
Does she need to consult a doctor? Or what should we do?

See the doc!!! Piercings where there are cartlidge are especially prone to problems such as infection. Keep it clean, remove all studs/earrings and make an appointment real soon!
If she should spike a fever, have increased swelling and redness in the area before you can get an appointment; I would go to the ER!
see a doc and fast. Yahoo answers won’t diagnose your gf’s problem.
Ahh ok, I got my tragus pierced and had a similar issue… Except I LOST my hearing for a month due to the piercing. I ended up taking it out and having it re-done & better the next time.
Tell her to soak the piercing with sea salt…. and use tea tree oil. I had the same bumps with mine and the sea salt and tea tree oil cleared it right up. Definately see a dr though about the pain….
As a nurse I would say go to the ER immediately. She has an infection of some kind that is traveling and could be very serious. the bumps are not normal, and the other pain is definitely not normal. Get dressed and go to ER now do not delay!
Again, as a medical professional please consult a doctor at once. You guys have delayed this far too long, and I’m sure what it started out as being has progressed and turned into something a bit worse then it was.
Please, please consult a doctor as soon as possible.
I suffered from an angor every spring, and my doctor recommended me to take a tea tree oil, which has an anti-microbal effect. It seriously works, the last angor was two years ago.
Hey everyone. Interesting idea for a blog. I have been checking out a lot of blogs and forums recently. Some are really informative some are entertaining and some are a real crack up. I’ve got to admit it, good job on this blog, I’ll be sure to look in again real soon.
