I dont mind getting them for her at all. Maybe I got a little embarassed when the cashier looked at me and looked at the product. But is it common for this request or do most girls handle the private matters like this by herself.

Sounds like your gf was hard up and needed a favor. It’s not like she asks you to all of the time, no? I’ve been with mine a year and she’s only asked me twice. No big deal. If a cashier looks at you funny, then he or she is an idiot, in addition to being immature. Don’t let anyone make you feel bad in the least.
It’s not that common, mostly because girls think that guys will be embarrassed to do so. Or because they’re embarrassed to ask. But if you are one of the guys who will get them for her, that definitely earns you serious bonus points. Congrats!

Some girls just really need that product and sometimes you cant get to those. so if the people in the store make stupid faces just be like ok you immature and if you have a problem with me helping my gf then you need to get laid man. and really some guys dont even help with those things so i say thank god someone is balling up and helping their girl with her personal problems!
It happens from time to time. That’s the price us guys pay for being in a strong relationship. A guy who is secure in his masculinity can go ahead and fulfill the mission without a problem. The worst that can happen is that the girl at the check out counter will know that your are taken and resist your flirting the next time you are in that store. The cashiers are used to it, too, so don’t fret none about that.
Just remember that you did your GF a big favor and she owes you one for this. As a matter of fact, she owes you TWO if you managed to find the right size, brand, and type.
I’ve done it, many times. Its no big deal really, we are in the 21st century here aren’t we? No need to be embarrassed, anyone that gives you a hard time about it needs to grow up.
