If I were you I would never meet him in person again. I might talk to him on the phone, email him etc and then less frequently till I stop talking to him completely.
Don’t tourment the guy, please.
I wish I knew the answer to this question (I’m not a professional after all), maybe you could consult with your friends or family members and ask for help, it usually helps me in many fields and areas in my life (for example my mother instructs me whenever I have trouble cooking stuff).
