Lets not forget that when a partner calls it a day it is a hard decision for them to take action on. There will be alot of guilt around making that decision. Usually when they still want to remain friends is to take the edge of of the guilt they feel..

Very interesting article. Though I have to admit when me and my ex-boyfriend split up last year, he kept getting me being my usual bubbly self mistaken with signals that I want him back. Any girl who breaks up with you but still wants to know what you’re up to is trying to keep you in a holding pattern. No matter what she says or does, she doesn’t want you finding anyone new. She sure as hell doesn’t want you dating, or maybe she doesn’t want you to date another girlfriend before she ends up finding someone of her own. Always asking about your life, love-life, or social situation is a big sign of insecurity… and also a sign that she’s not prepared for the end of your relationship. If your ex was truly finished with you it wouldn’t much matter where you went or who you were spending your time with.

I don’t think we can get over our first loves. I still remember mine and wish we were in touch. We both have moved on with mutual consent but I do not wish to forget the wonderful moments I have spend with him which brings a smile on my face always.
